Jodi Halvorson

(she/her)
CDW, SAMP
Instructor

Jodi, a dog-savvy, dog-loving outdoor enthusiast, started with Happy Dog in the most authentic way possible: as a longtime client who started taking classes with her first dog, Stormy, and then became an instructor.

After helping Stormy transform from reactive, nervous, and under-confident to communicative and trusting, she discovered that she loves working with other dogs and their guardians, too. She has a soft spot for rescue dogs and the people who take them in (like her and her pup).

Jodi is a gifted instructor who specializes in outdoor adventuring and agility training. She loves that these activities not only provide dogs with brain and physical enrichment but that they strengthen the guardian-dog bond.

“I love to see the connection that people are building with their dog. It’s great to help people and their dogs take steps, even micro steps, forward and watch how they blossom together. It’s great to be able to support their progress. ”

Jodi lives in Olympia with her partner, Greg. She goes adventuring almost every weekend with her two rescue dogs, Stormy (herding mix) and Buddy (cattle dog).

Together, they participate in nosework, agility, rally and other dog sports. Jodi is always on the lookout for new ways to build her dogs’ connection, enrichment, and confidence.
